I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for attending The UroGPO National Urology Conference in Washington, D.C. April 15-16, 2016. Based on much of the feedback received by participants, it seems we presented a unique and relevant agenda and provided another forum for all of us to gather to advance the ball for Community Urology.

From Thursday night’s cocktail reception, sponsored by Bayer and Valeant, to the closing of the meeting Saturday afternoon, the interaction with all of you was so positive and responsive that it really has energized the entire staff of UroGPO to continue with our current initiatives, as well as drive new ideas such as supply chain management. Having great speakers such as Dr. Eugene Schneller (Supply Chain), Dr. Paul Schellhammer (Xtandi) and Dana Jacoby (UroGPO APC Champion Programs) really made for an impactful meeting. And Dr. Ira Klein, with Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, did a great job updating us on the future of health care and urology from a payor’s perspective. Thanks to all of you, and all of the other speakers who presented at the meeting.

As we mentioned during the meeting on Saturday, we are encouraged by all of the new pharma, device and supply contracts that we have added over the last six months, and we will continue to use our group strength to add more contracts moving forward. Your commitment to treating patients with the clinically correct therapies is what makes the difference with our industry partners and, most of all, with the patient. The UroGPO staff will meet head on the tough challenges that lay ahead, such as in-office dispensing.

Again, it was great seeing everyone, and please keep the ideas and feedback flowing.

We are Uro-Centric!!

Sincerely,

David Coury
